Think supportive, judgement free, and fun!
I want you to feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. No perfect answers or “therapy voice” needed. I want therapy to feel comfortable and genuine. We will talk, laugh, work through the hard stuff, and find way to handle whatever life throws your way. I’ll meet you where you are (even if that means playing games at first) and help you move forward at a pace that feels comfortable.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel like sitting on a couch talking about your feelings for an hour. Sometimes we talk, sometimes we work on a specific skill, and sometimes we just need to figure out what’s making everything feel like a lot.
I believe therapy should be personalized, approachable, and useful in real life. My goal is to create a space where you fee comfortable being yourself while learning skills that help you live well, not just get through the day. -
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. During our consultation or first session we will touch on what you’re looking for in a therapist along with your goals. My goal is for you to leave that conversation or first session thinking, “I could see myself feeling comfortable.” Finding the right therapist is a big step and I’m here to make that process as smooth as possible.

A consultation is a brief 15 minute conversation designed to help us determine if we are a good fit for you. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, availability fee/insurance, and any questions you may have. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. There’s no pressure, just a safe space for us to connect and see how we can work together.
-
Your first therapy session is a space to begin sharing your story at you own pace. We will talk about your current concerns, history, goals, and what you hope to get out of therapy. The goal is not to “solve everything” in one session but start building a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Live Well Child and Family Therapy is in network with Aetna and State Health Plan. Live well is working on being “in network” with BCBS.
Check with your insurance provider to confirm your mental health benefits and understand your coverage. Helpful questions include:
What are my mental health benefits? How much does my plan cover per session?
How many sessions are covered?
How much will insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
Do I have a deductible and how much is it?
How much of my deductible have I met this year?
Do I have to meet my deductible before my mental health benefits can be used?
What is my copay?
If Live Well Child and Family Therapy is Out-of-Network with your insurance company, a Superbill can be provided for you to submit for reimbursement. You are responsible for contacting your insurance company and understanding your benefits, and paying for all sessions at the time of service. Any Out-of-Network insurance reimbursement will come directly to you, as the client.

Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to better understand thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building skills for everyday life.

Most begin with more frequent sessions (weekly or biweekly) depending on their needs, goals, and availability. Frequency will change over time as progress is made. Therapy can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue or longer-term for deeper personal growth. We will collaborate together and determine a schedule that feels appropriate.
-
Parent and caregiver engagement is an important part of the therapeutic process. Depending on your child’s age, needs, and treatment goals frequency of involvement may vary. Participation may look like check-ins, family sessions, parent/caregiver sessions, or receiving strategies to support progress outside of therapy. We also understand the importance of children and teens having a space where they can feel comfortable being open. We will discuss confidentiality and parent involvement at the beginning of therapy services.
